You don’t need to travel to a galaxy far, far away this Halloween to discover the huge assortment of awesome Star Wars dog costumes that are available. These include all of the main characters, as well as some of the lesser known ones too! It’s time for your four-legged friend to choose whether to suit up for the Dark Side or use The Force for good!
Yoda is probably the most well known character in the Star Wars saga, and characterized by his deep wisdom, small stature and kindness. Yoda is the ideal costume for pint-sized pooches, and will convert them from loyal follower to enlightened master. Adorned in Yoda’s trademark robe and large pointy ears, your dog will be teaching you and your friends profound lessons in adorableness!
What’s even cuter are those furry little critters known as Ewoks, which appear in the Star Wars film Return of the Jedi. Just like your little tail-wagger, they may be cute but they will show who’s boss when it comes to defending the family home… even if it’s just from the mailman! Ewoks are basically large teddy bears that wear hoods with their fluffy little ears sticking out the top. This simple Star Wars dog costume would perfectly suit any dog with Ewok-esque facial features, a short muzzle and longish fur.
When the battle of good versus evil finally takes place, you will be faced with the ultimate decision… “Should I dress my dog as the Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or the Sith Lord himself, Darth Vader”? Or it could be one of the many characters loyal to either side? And I guess that answer really depends on if they’ve been a good or bad doggy this year. Modestly dressed in a brown robe and a hood, the Jedi-hound is an even match for the black-caped, shiny helmet wearing Darth Vader. Other Star Wars dog costumes include Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, The Emperor, R2-D2, Padme Amidala and one of the Stormtroopers. These are suitable costumes for large dogs as well as small ones.
Show off your little princess in a white gown, futuristic belt buckle and trademark, Princess Leia side-bun hairdo. Your furry heroine may not be trying to take down the Death Star this Halloween, but I can assure you she’ll get the same adoration the Princess got from Star Wars hero, Han Solo. And, speaking of heroes, superhero themed costumes for dogs are also very popular this year!
